"And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye."
Bio
My name is Renald. A profile? That's troublesome. If I had to say something, I wished I didn't exist. Screw humans and their own stupid problems. Sometimes I wonder why the hell I even bother to try and make people happy, or whatever. Most of them wouldn't appreciate the effort, or even take notice. I wish I'd just sleep and never wake up. Stuck in dream forever, doing whatever I want. Inception anyone? I'm not sure whether all those sweet memories and fun times I've had could make up for the disappointment I feel I've been thus far. The times I've been drove to the edge, feeling almost insane. The pain being unbearable. Be careful what you wish for? I don't know. Well.. dont regret your life and what you make of it. Tresure the present, because they will never come back again.

Haha, its funny really. Really funny. Paleontology, I know nothing more than it relating to the world and its fossils. Today as usual, I was bored sitting on my small blue chair surfing the net. I did something unusual, like I vowed, I actually bothered searching up my supposed interest on Google. "Paleontology", i searched. I found loads of stuff I'd never thought it was about.

To actually think that being a Paleontologist was going to be easy as long as you had interest, you gotta be the epitomy of crazy like I am. I've only just browsed like three sites on that topic, and I'm already almost certain dumbfounded.

"What do qualifications do Paleontologists need?"

"Whether the Paleontologist works in the field, laboratory, research or education, it will almost always require working with others and having good communication skills. Computer skills are essential. A Paleontologist needs a strong background in the sciences which should include biology and geology, mathematics, chemistry and physics. Good foreign language skills are needed because many resources are written in German, French, Russian or Chinese. "

*bold* = things that dumbfounded me

BOOMZ. Gone. Hmm, up till there I thought, "Well, its not too late to try t..." as I continued browsing down, before I completed my train of thought..

"A MS in paleontology usually takes 2-3 years to complete. A PhD usually takes 4-6 years (if you already have received a MS) or 6-8 years (if you do not already have a MS)."

BAM. Another blow. MS stands for Master's , not Maplestory, you no lifers. I asked myself, am I willing to take 4 to 6 years just to get a Masters? When I'm like just above 2 times the 6 years required to gain that piece of paper.

PhD, my dad says its Permanent Head Damage, more like Potato Head Death.

I attempted trying to find Paleontology courses in Singapore, couldn't. Well, i didn't try very hard, but still. Its probably essential to go overseas to take courses such as this. Oh man, blow blow blow blow.. Its a triple whammy.
